- Middle Path and Brain Health
- by Professor Lee
- Much fragmentary knowledge on the brain such as its structure and function through the scientific approach brought from the West has been accumulated in Korea. Taking advantage of this wealth of knowledge, efforts have been made by various science areas to appreciate the functioning system of the brain based on a broader perspective through integration of these knowledge. Considering the fact that technology has currently been developed to control function of the brain such as memory and emotion through control of brain cells, it is an opportune time, I believe, to pose a question on the understanding of humans and of its value as well as to seek a way for the possible contribution that brain science could make in realizing true humane life.
